About NeonReviews.com Who, what and where? The site is the brainchild of NeonNero, a 23-year-old computer nerd and movie fan from Norway. I am the designer, developer, webmaster and main reviewer of this site, which contains reviews on just about anything you can think of. If the item is available to the public (or even the non-public, who knows?), I'll most likely review it (if I have it at hand, of course). Certain services may also be reviewed, as long as they fit into one of the categories on the left. I might even expand the number of categories if I get enough stuff to review. The site resides on a rented server from ProHosting, and only they know exactly where the server is located. I once traced its location to somewhere in San José, California (USA), so that's my best bet (I don't really care, as long as it's up, running, available and doing well). The main reviewer, on the other hand, (me) is located almost on the other side of the globe, in a town called Ålesund on the north-west coast of Norway. It's a beautiful town, really. If I ever get the chance, I'll even prove it to you. Guest reviewers Although I run the website all by myself, I occasionally accept reviews from friends. If I've never run into you at any point and had time to establish a connection of certain trust with you, you're not likely to get your review published on this site. However, this exception to the rule also has an exception; I'll allow reviews from well-established "celebrities" on the Internet (fan core of at least 100 people required). Website Genesis The whole idea of a website full of reviews was actually developed out of a completely different website idea. I originally wanted to cover the world of movies from a moviegoer's point of view, with opinions from other movie fans such as myself collected from all over the country (Norway). The main idea expanded into music, and then into cultural information in general (theaters, musicals). At each step of the way, I've always conceived the idea as a site where I'll provide my personal review of it, and let visitors add to it. This idea is currently on ice, but I'll revive it some fine day. Some time in mid-March, I thought I'd bring back a part of this idea into what you see today. I was mainly thinking about reviewing whatever I owned, starting with one of the books I recently bought. The general idea for a name was pitched in the chatroom of ErrorFM, and with a little back and forth, the complete name became what you see today.
